“Malaysia is always a rather challenging weekend for the long straights of the circuit and the hot weather. I tried to spend as much time as possible out on track on my own, to work on the set-up of the bike in the first couple of sessions. We did a solid lap that got us into Q2, which was very positive. In the race, I came back until the 13th position and I was enjoying the fight with the group. However with just a couple of laps to go I almost crashed out and lost my advantage. Our lap times in the race were competitive, so we take away the positive from this GP in Malaysia.”
