This was my first time at Donington Park and I have to say it’s a fun track. We didn’t get any rain in the end, which helped a lot to work on the bike. Friday in the Superpole I was fighting for a spot in the top-15, but another rider made me crash at the end of the session, which meant I couldn’t improve in the last few minutes. For the first race, my strategy for the start didn’t work out – and that surely was a lesson learnt for Sunday. My start was much better in race 2 and I gained a bunch of spots during the first lap, however soon after there was a big crash and the race was red flagged. For the restart, I managed to take off decently once again and I was fighting for the top-15. Unfortunately on the last corner another rider collided onto me and made me crash, ending my race way too soon. I’m disappointed because we had a chance to get a good result this time around and this was taken away from us. At the same time I’m happy with how we worked during this weekend, as scoring points felt within reach. We try to stay positive and will work hard next week in Most.
