It took some time, but finally I got to make my debut on a Moto2 bike. I was really looking forwards to this round, and I enjoyed each session on track. It was my first time in Estoril, so the main focus in the sessions on Thursday was to learn the track and understand how to adapt the Kalex’s setting to the circuit. We made the most of the time on track and ended around 1 second off the fastest time during the practices. We had a couple of ideas to try out, but on Saturday afternoon before the QP the weather changed. That ended up hindering our progression, although we tried to make the most out of it. On Sunday we had one wet race, in which I didn’t really get to feel confortable on top of my Kalex; in race two the track was dry and we went back to being competitive. I was getting close to the Top-5 when the race was ended by a red flag, but we’ll take the good of this weekend and get ready for Montmeló.
