This was a rather solid weekend for us, as we got the chance to prove that we’re now able to fight comfortably in the point zone. In the Superpole my session ended with a minor crash, so unfortunately I couldn’t qualify in a better position – the positive side is that the top-10 was within reach. The race on Saturday was first delayed and then postponed to the following day, due to heavy rainfalls. On Sunday morning in race one the track was in mixed conditions and the tyre choice was a gamble. We went with wet and unfortunately the track dried out too fast, so there wasn’t much to do there.
On the other hand, the second race was fully dry. At the beginning of race two I did not have a good feeling with the bike. I was close to high siding many times. By half race the feeling started to improve and I could put in a solid pace. Bit by bit I caught up with the guys in front of me and I got to battle in the point zone. We leave with a 13 position, which is bringing us closer to our objective, and it shows our progress since the beginning of the season.
