“I had a great time in Portimao, mainly because of the way we managed to overcome challenges through the weekend. This has always been a tricky circuit for me, but I do feel like I’ve made a big step compared to my previous performances here.
It took us a few sessions to adapt the bike and find a setting that could help me push to the limit, but by race one we were quite close to the front. I had to drop the pace as there was a technical issue with the bike, but for most of the laps I was on a consistent pace. In race two, my start was miserable to say the least, and I dropped to the back of the field. However, the bike felt good and I pushed my way up to the front, reaching the top 5 and battling with some guys with a lot more experience than me in the Championship. 
We are working in the right direction and I am looking forwards to continuing my growth in the Moto2 class.”
